Ever wanted to learn Korean but struggled to do so on your own? ARMY Academy offers a free Korean course taught by ARMY for ARMY.
Our beginner Korean Course started off with the intention to share and help ARMYs with the Korean Language. Aimed at total beginners, the course started off from recognizing, reading and writing Hangul characters and how the characters are put together to form different sounds and words. With the help of our amazing volunteer tutors and admins, the course taught hundreds of ARMYs all around the world the very basics of Hangul, bringing them a step closer to appreciating the beautiful language.

ARMY ACADEMY will be launching a new edition of our Korean Course for Beginners! It will be released in two languages: English, and Spanish. To learn more about the syllabus, requirements, registration, and more, please select the language of instruction you prefer.

The humble beginnings of the Korean Course extend back to 2018, where, by the end of the year, a grand total of 99 students attended our level 0 and 1 courses. With the help of our volunteers, we kicked off the beginnings of the Korean Course in 2018.

With a grand total of 139 students, and our many hardworking tutors and admins, the students sat their last exam on the 21st-22nd of September and officially passed the course with a certificate of recognition and a report card of their own. A huge thank you for the support from all our students, tutors and admins for making this project possible!
The Korean Course made another comeback on the 13th of July, when the forms again opened for students to apply for our free course. Scheduled to start on the 22nd of July, the new Korean Course was offered to English, Spanish and Vietnamese speakers with tutors holding weekly classes for 8 weeks on Discord.

This time with 394 students, we taught students in a wider range of languages; English, Spanish, Tagalog, Hindi, Malay and Indonesian.

ARMY Academy would once again like to extend our warmest gratitude to our tutors, admins and students who all worked diligently throughout the course to make it a huge success!
The 8th of December, again, saw the start of student applications for our beginners Korean Course to celebrate Jin's birthday. With multiple schedules available and 8 weeks packed with content, the Korean Course once again commenced on the 20th of December.

The first Korean Course of 2020 started off of the 16 of April, with classes offered in English, Spanish, Indonesian and Tagalog. The 411 students are currently undergoing 8 weeks of classes on discord with our dedicated Korean tutors and admins.
The team wishes the students best of luck during their course and we hope you are able to enjoy the lessons and progress through with your journey in learning Korean!
