Volunteers are the heart of ARMY Academy. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to help ARMYs with their studies. As part of the HR (Human resources) team, you’ll help us take care of our volunteers. In this team, you will have the opportunity to interact with our volunteers. Inside the HR team, admins have different roles:

Interviewer

Volunteer Weekly Time Approximate: 10h (interviewing/renewal season every 2-3 months), 1.5h (any other season)

• Attends meetings organized by the Main Admins of the HR team.

• Makes active use of the HR Discord Server and the Notion workspace.

• Interviews tutors and admins and welcomes them to the team.

• Every 2 months: renews applications of tutors, and removes inactive tutors of the subjects they are assigned to.

• Every 3 months: renews applications, and removes inactive admins.

• Updates the tutor/admin database (inactive, hiatus, etc) weekly.

• Informs the team new ideas, issues, or any other comment.

Volunteer Appreciation

• Attends meetings organized by the HR Main admins.

• Makes active use of the HR Discord Server and the Notion workspace.

• Plans ways to show thankfulness for volunteers: movie night, game night, concert night, games, anything fun and cool!

As part of the Research Team, you will be responsible for analysing and creating informational threads that offer insight into BTS' art including their songs, choreography, music videos and more.

Researcher

Volunteer Weekly Time Approximate: 4h (when threads are needed, usually every 1-2 months)

Attending meetings organized by the Research Main admin.

• Making active use of the Discord channels and the Notion workspace.

• Sharing ideas with the team of new threads.

• Creating threads following the topic assigned and the procedure accorded by the Main Admin by the accorded deadline. Some examples of the threads previously done by this team include: Birthday Projects

In our form we'll ask you your Discord username. Create one beforehand so you don't lose time. In the form, you should write it including the number. For example: BTS#1023.

We offer different sized pillows. If you need a specific size please contact us and we can customize your order.

Normally all of our pillows are stuffed with fillers that are larger than the pillow itself. This design enables us to offer big full (firm) pillows that don't feel like bricks when your head hits them.

In ARMY ACADEMY we offer two main services: one to one tutoring and free learning projects (courses, talks, etc).

Our one to one tutoring (https://army-academy.wixsite.com/armyacademics/subjects) is for the students that need help with school assignments such as homework, quizzes, etc. It is also for students that need help understanding topics that they are already learning. The tutoring is open 24/7 everyday and doesn't have a limit of students. Our tutors are always ready to help you out whenever you need us. • Collaborates with the rest of the team to cover the time slots of admins who are unavailable.

• Inform the Main Admin if you will be unavailable certain days beforehand.

Issues Support Manager

Volunteer Weekly Time Approximate: 3h

• Attends meetings organized by the Student Service Main admin.

• Makes active use of the team’s Discord channels.

• Solves issues (student DMs closed, student not replying, etc) daily by contacting students or tutors, and updates the tracker.

• Collaborates with the rest of the team to cover the slots of admins who are unavailable.

• Informs the team new ideas, issues, or any other comment.

• Inform the Main Admin if you will be unavailable certain days beforehand.

Deadline Attendant

Volunteer Weekly Time Approximate: 3h

• Attends meetings organized by the Student Service Main admin.

• Makes active use of the team’s Discord channels.

• Contacts students whose deadline we missed and updates the student request sheets daily.

• Collaborates with the rest of the team to cover the slots of admins who are unavailable.

• Informs the team new ideas, issues, or any other comment.

• Inform the Main Admin if you will be unavailable certain days beforehand.

The classes start on the first week of March. If you choose Friday classes, it will start on March 4th. If you choose Saturday classes, it will start on March 5th. If you choose Sunday classes, it will start on March 6th. Our classes only take place during the weekend. For more information about the list of classes and their schedules, go to "Registration".

The course will end in May 20th, when the certificates are sent.

In each form we'll ask you to choose 3 classes. Please check out the schedules above and select 3 beforehand. Don't worry, if only one or two schedules work for you, just select those.

We will ask your name, Twitter @, Discord username, email, BTS/ARMY questions, and the top 3 choices for the schedule of your classes. Before the form opens we recommend you to choose 3 classes in case your top choice gets full rapidly.

If you're looking for a tutor for a specific topic/subject, go over to our Subjects (https://army-academy.wixsite.com/armyacademics/subjects) page and look for which subject you'd like help in. Once you click into the subejct's page, you'll be able to see what we offer help in and if it fits the topic you need help with, click into "Apply for Help" which will lead you to a Google Form. Fill the form out as accurately as you can and our tutors will get back to you as soon as possible through twitter DMs.

Yes! All of our fillers are made from hypoallergenic materials and most of our pillow covers are made from natural materials such as cotton, wool, alpaca, etc.

We strive to use natural producs whenever possible, but for durability purposes we sometimes use materials with a percentage of rayon or polyester. If "all natural" is important to us please contact us with a custom request. We totally get it!

If you choose Friday classes, it will start on April 30th. If you choose Saturday classes, it will start on May 1st. If you choose Sunday classes, it will start on May 2nd. Video Editors

Volunteer Weekly Time Approximate: 5h-6h (when a video is needed, every 2-3 months)

• Attends meetings organized by the Design Main admin.

• Makes active use of the team’s Discord channels and the tracker spreadsheet.

• Creates videos for our projects/messages following the Main Admin indiciations by the deadline. Then, uploads it to the team Google Drive folder.

• Informs the team new ideas, issues, or any other comment.

To become a tutor, you have to fill out the application form. We usually open these forms every 2 months. We'll open them on August.

When you fill out a form, we ask you for your deadline. Our tutors will do their best to DM you before the deadline.
